Barnoldswick Town Improvements

There has been some misinformation circulating about the proposed Town Square stage project.
To help ensure discussion is based on the information that was actually submitted, the Pride in Place application form is being shared.
The application describes a proposal to remove the existing stone planter and replace it with a metal stage structure. The application does not include any proposal for storage facilities.
The Chair requested that residents be consulted before any permanent changes were made to the Town Square. It was advised that, because of the Pride in Place funding timescales, there was insufficient time to undertake a public consultation, as the project requires funding to be committed by March 2026 and completed by June 2026.
The Chair has also requested the proposed stage designs and, once received, these will be shared.
